Mona Vale Chiropractor – Structure and Meaning
Great buildings have meaning built into their structure, often symbolising life and the human condition. Even if you don’t have an Engineers eye, you can feel it, and being in those spaces creates a sense that something more exists. Something beyond our current experience of life.
You, as an individual, also have meaning built into your own structure. It tells a story of where you’ve been, and the vast potential of where your life can go.
There were a few particular qualities I was seeking in our new premises for Foundation. I wanted to step things up and create something special for you. Build a space where you can find the “something more” that exists beyond your current experience and take your life to the next level.
We found a premises that was perfect, but for one small challenge. It was just a big empty room. It needed a wall, and it also needed meaning…
Sitting alone in the new empty room, it was clear why I had chosen this space. The light was fantastic and there was a balance to its proportions. Unfortunately, a wall was going to obstruct the light and create a disconnect in the structure. What we needed was just enough separation to create a space for healing, while still maintaining connected to the whole.
Aha! …This was already becoming symbolic of our journey to healing… Eliminate the disconnects, but have just enough separation to create an awareness of where we need to go, just enough of the right tension to pull us through. With a doorway that guide us through from where we sit with our current concerns, and welcomes us to experience what’s possible. A glimpse of how good life can be on the other side that encourages us to step up.
After quite a few late nights, of planning, measuring, procuring and building. It is done! A portal to a place like no other. A space where every time you enter, you’re going to discover another part of yourself.
I have invested a lot into this. Not just the fit out of this premises but the whole project of bringing this gentle but profound healing modality to the community. The resources, time and effort spent just on the three University degrees was significant.
However, the promise of what this work can bring to our community infused an effortlessness to every hurdle and difficulty that was encountered. Plus, we are working with your nervous system, so the investments in degrees and 19 years of ongoing professional development, are necessary to ensure you have access to the highest quality, safest care possible.
